The Bay School Community Arts Center is kicking off the holiday shopping season with an online auction and raffle. Called the ArtFall Online Art and Travel Auction, reflecting the season and “artful” nature of the items available, bidders can choose from a variety of original two- and three-dimensional art and ceramics. Additionally, a trip for four to Mexico at one of six luxury resorts is up for auction.
Running concurrently, The Bay School is raffling off a theatre-themed collection of items contained in an antique suitcase, including four tickets to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory performed by the Virginia Repertory Theatre in Richmond and many other related items. The auction and raffle continue through the month of November and close at 9:00 PM on November 30. Starting November 13 and running through December 31 in the Art Speaks Gallery, The Bay School’s Holiday Pop-Up market begins and features unique, one-of-a-kind, handmade gifts created by a variety of local artists and artisans.
Executive Director of The Bay School, Pamela Doss says, “As individuals begin thinking of those on their gift lists, we thought giving them an opportunity to ease into the season with a fun and creative shopping experience from home would help get them in the mood. Additionally, proceeds from the auction and raffle support The Bay School’s community outreach programs and provides shoppers with the extra benefit of giving back to their community.”
View and bid on auction items at ArtFall.givesmart.com. Raffle tickets may be purchased online at bayschool-arts.com/products/raffle-tickets or in the Art Speaks Gallery at 279 Main Street in Mathews. The raffle item can be viewed in the gallery, and the auction items, although not on display, can be seen in person at the gallery upon request.
