Bay Transit, the public transportation division of Bay Aging, wants to help area residents get out to vote on November 5th!
On Election Day, Bay Transit will provide free rides to and from the polls any time between 6 AM and 7 PM.
Safe, reliable, free rides to and from the polls are available to any resident of the Middle Peninsula, Northern Neck, Charles City, or New Kent County who makes their reservations on or before October 31st.
“Simply call the Bay Transit Ride Line at 877-869-6046 by October 31st to make your reservation,” said Ken Pollock, Bay Transit’s Director. “All of our buses are wheelchair accessible and lift equipped, so Bay Transit can provide transportation for ambulatory and non-ambulatory voters to and from the polls,” Pollock added.
The first day of in-person early voting at your local registrar's office was on Friday, September 20, 2024. The last day of in-person early voting at your local voter registration office will be on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
“Bay Transit is also available to provide transportation for only two dollars each way to and from your local registrar’s office or your local voter registration office on any weekday during the normal hours of operation,” Pollock noted.
