Built in 1769, Menokin was the home of Francis Lightfoot Lee. The ruins have been preserved as an educational site for architectural conservation, archaelogy and history. The property, part of the Rappahannock River Valley Nat’l Wildlife Refuge, is owned and managed by the Menokin Foundation.
