This Sundays at Two Presentation will highlight Brad Perry’s Apollo Command Module he and his father built in the basement of their home in Albemarle, North Carolina, and Brad used to simulate the Apollo 16 mission in real time in April 1972. The presentation will cover Brad’s experiences as an astronaut instructor for the Space Shuttle, helping to design the International Space Station, and evaluating proposal concepts leading to the New Horizons missions to Pluto, the Juno mission to Jupiter, and the Near Infrared Camera (NIRCam) instrument for the James Webb Space Telescope. Additionally, the presentation will include Brad’s work in professional astronomy observing novae, supernovae, and planetary objects.
