Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury
Since 1985, RWC has been the neighborhood of choice for older adults wishing to enjoy an active lifestyle free of the worries of home ownership, knowing they’ll receive state-of-the-art care as they age.
If you’ve lived in the Northern Neck or Middle Peninsula or visited frequently, you know that the region is like many other parts of the country in one respect: new businesses are sprouting up and older ones are closing their doors as new entrepreneurs test the waters (sometimes literally in this area) while others decide to move on to new ventures or retire after years in business. But some businesses have become fixtures on the local landscape, familiar names to more than one generation of born-heres and come-heres who associate these establishments with the region. In 2015 a handful of them are celebrating special anniversaries, and the Local Scoop wants to salute them all.
Among this group are five that we are profiling to give our readers some idea of what’s made these commercial enterprises and nonprofits special. Click below to read their stories.
