Williamsburg is known for its Colonial charm, its connection to history, those smart kids that go to the College of William & Mary.
But plopped in the center of this highly regarded landscape is New Town, a microcosm of a modern city designed to offer a community within a community for the families and residents of greater Williamsburg.
More than ten years after this bustling little commercial and residential hub launched, New Town is still offering a live, work, play atmosphere. But those that have a hand in running the mixed-use center feel that it’s just as important to create a sense of place, a purpose for being there.
Kirsten Rumsey, who works with Town Management, which manages New Town, said 2016 will bring a lot of fun, food and adventure for families and adults of all ages.
Here are some highlights of what’s happening this year in New Town - so mark your calendars now:
April 23: Chalk/Family Fest: Fun for the family. Compete in chalk competition for prizes. There will be a mini petting zoo, tons of kids activities, games and more!
