The Local Scoop magazine announces a new Editor in Chief for its locally-focused Williamsburg edition: Natalie Miller-Moore will take the helm for the Spring 2017 issue.
“I’m delighted to serve in this role. Williamsburg is a unique town with a fascinating history and I love connecting people with stories about their neighbors, their friends and local organizations. It’s a truly remarkable place and it deserves in-depth and insightful coverage,” she said.
Ms. Miller-Moore has served on the editorial board of the magazine since its inception, as well as contributing to the publication as a columnist and writer. Her background as a journalist and small business owner will help serve the mission of the publication, which is to highlight the local gems of Williamsburg.
Susan McFadden, publisher of the Local Scoop editions for the Northern Neck and Williamsburg, said, "The Local Scoop is fortunate to have a Williamsburg editor of Natalie's caliber. Not only is Natalie a seasoned journalist, she is a community advocate who lives with her family in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg."
Ms. Miller-Moore has a Bachelor’s in Journalism from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, as well as being a recent graduate of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia in 2016. She is a graduate of the LEAD Historic Triangle program in 2013, run by the Greater Williamsburg Chamber and Tourism Alliance. Miller-Moore takes over from colleague Stephanie Heinatz, who will continue writing for the publication.
