The Arc clients enjoy a day out at Jamestown Settlement.
The Arc of Greater Williamsburg kicked off its 40th anniversary over the summer with a benefit concert at Kimball Theatre in July. The non-profit organization provides programs, services, and support for young adults and senior citizens with developmental disabilities.
“We plan to celebrate all year long,” says Pam McGregor, executive director.
“This is exciting for us. The people I work with are some of the nicest and most deserving people in our community. We are honored and privileged to work with them every day.”
In addition to the concert, The Arc of Greater Williamsburg celebrated during their annual 5K run in October. A more formal celebration is planned for the organization’s 40th birthday in March in honor of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month.
