If there's one thing that Tracy Shackelford is full of it's passion. She's passionate about connecting people, helping them find ways to work with each other to build better lives, better businesses and a better community. She's passionate about her family and helping families with their financial lives.
And if you ask her today, she's adding The Local Scoop to that list.
We're delighted to announce and thank Tracy for serving as one of The Local Scoop Williamsburg Edition's Advisors. She was integral in helping launch the first issue this year and has already helped guide the stories and editorial calendar for 2016, helping us ensure the best kept secrets of greater Williamsburg are shared in our pages.
So what does she do in her other life?
By day, Tracy is a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual in Williamsburg. She was catapulted into the business to carry on the legacies of two men in her community who died, one of illness and one from an accident, in December 2010.
Tracy is deeply motivated to help people prepare for, and transition into, retirement. Whether approaching or already in retirement, her comprehensive financial planning process helps her clients identify their most important financial goals and make sure their strategies are as good as they can be to reach them. You could say she helps fuel her clients' passions.
Her clients are serious about their financial futures and while Tracy loves to laugh and have a great time, she is a true listener.
Her guidance on the Williamsburg magazine's first edition, and planning for all four 2016 editions, has been invaluable. She knows Williamsburg. She loves Williamsburg and the people in it.
Look forward to hearing more from Tracy this year and benefiting from the great stories and local scoop she's able and eager to share with readers!
PS If you run into Tracy, ask her about UVA! She's a University of Virginia graduate and possibly the proudest Wahoo in Williamsburg!
