La Tienda, a Spanish specialty foods store, feted its 20th anniversary in 2016. More than 200 people turned out for the event earlier this year, which included a $1,000 Iberico de Bellota ham, three paellas, and a professional flamenco guitarist.
“Our whole family helped out, from my ten-year-old daughter Anna Bell, to 80-year-old founder Don Harris, who manned an olive oil tasting table,” said co-owner Jonathan Harris. “We loved sharing this special celebration with all of our customers, who are the reason for the success of our business.”
As the popularity of authentic Spanish food grows, La Tienda plans to reach new markets across the United States, as well as expand its service at its local tapas bar and store.
“We are always searching for new discoveries in Spain, and our focus is to share the authentic flavors we love while supporting small family businesses in Spain,” says Harris.
